Pros

The line of work is extremely interesting and engaging. You feel a real sense of accomplishment for what you've done and the people you've supported. You can learn so much about such a secretive and technical area, and many of the people employed there are usually very knowledgeable and supportive.

Cons

Management and the product team are unfortunately completely clueless about how to manage client expectations. Features and functionality are sold to clients with no communication to the development team, and then stressful and impossible to meet deadlines are set that require additional hours and out of office support. A real lack of long term vision and goal for their products leaves developers having to switch and pivot to new projects or tasks on a near daily basis. Some people - usually management- would often express distasteful or rude opinions about certain groups or people in society.

Pros

Great products and good integrations for a start up

Cons

It’s surprising how quickly my perception of a company I once deeply cared about and was genuinely excited to be part of shifted in such a short period of time. What was once a place I looked forward to every week has become one where rudeness and hostility seem to dominate. The people who made this place great have left too soon, while those who thrive on authority and politics remain. Over the past 2.5 months, there’s been too many random lay offs to sales people with no genuine reasons other than not wanting to pay severance for the over 2 years service, you’ll find the average employee churn is around 1 yr and 7 months due to this. During that time, I truly loved what I did. But now, it feels like everyone is just keeping their heads down, waiting for the next round of lay offs which has prompted the majority of our team members to start looking for roles elsewhere. Good people are leaving due to uncertainty not performance. Accelerators have been removed for sales staff which defies the objective of an incentive to sell. Commission has been taken away from sales staff for working deals for months due to greed from management. Unfortunately the internalised misogyny in the sales team has not improved and actions are taken against female staff who try and speak up.
