I have been working at Salesforce full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Best front end system(s) of engagement in the business. The platform earns you time to speak with all executive lines of business about strategic direction and where you can support their success. It's one of the biggest reasons that I've come back to the company. There's some great competition for enterprise sales with AWS and Google Cloud but I'd much rather speak to executive stakeholders rather than IT about Infrastructure. Lot's of meat on the bone for things to sell with recent acquisitions.

    Cons

It's up to you to build healthy boundaries around work life balance when you are working at the fastest growing enterprise company in the world. Occasionally, you can get boxed in with certain verticals (teams) not wanting you to venture outside of their linear career path. Emerging commercial business roles are subject to transactional sales and relationships but show me a company where that's not the case. Occasionally implementation partners are not adequately prepared to take on large deal implementations which can result in customer satisfaction issues. These can linger and be stressful but there are the right resources on the Salesforce end to make things right.

    Pros

Culture is legit - what's on the wall is practiced in the hall (most halls anyway) Talented leaders across the Enterprise sales business unit Product portfolio is amazing - check out the acquisitions.

    Cons

Love our culture of inclusion and that we lead organizations in proactively looking for ways to hire, promote and engage under-represented groups. That said, we need to be careful our internal messaging doesn't cross the line of coming across as things other than performance and leadership potential dictate upward mobility and promotion.

I have been working at Salesforce full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Decent benefits, awesome technology, pioneered SaaS, like my teammates

    Cons

Been here well over 10 years. Used to be my dream job. Now it’s just a job. Plan to retire in a few years or else I’d been running for the door. We used to chase Oracle (the enemy). With all the former ORCL leadership that has joined SFSC we have become the enemy. Senior sales management has little respect from the sales teams. They manage up, make you fabricate false forecasts, belittle you, treat you like chattel. Some execs have multiple harassment issues filed with HR, yet they not only remain they are promoted. I once called HR for the potential need for a FMLA and was informed that Salesforce was an “employment at will” company. Seriously, where’s the Ohana. Fortunately I didn’t require the FMLA. I’ve pulled a lot of punches in this review out of respect for the Salesforce I used to know and luv. Said enough...
