Pros

Work with very smart people, including some of the most knowledgeable airline industry professionals. Travel to interesting locations and opportunity to network with airline industry leaders. Work is challenging and solutions are interesting to study. Sabre is trying, but struggling, to do the right things for its employees around benefits and work-life balance, but it work-life balance can vary greatly by department.

Cons

It seems that some of the brightest O.R., developers and other technical team members are promoted to leadership roles and management with little to no experience or training. Leaders lack the ability to pull groups together (i.e., delivery with development with solutions team with technical implementation with account/sales teams) to form a cohesive, in-step team working towards common goals. Sabre leadership pushes for sales of solutions well before they are developed or even prototyped with little hope of completing projects on time even after the deals are signed. Sabre does not focus on the product quality, but instead on sales targets and the product quality has been in a steep spiral down as a result. This also means that delivery are often caught in the middle and work-life balance suffers tremendously.
