Pros
An excellent school to learn about Waldorf Education. The teachers and staff members are an incredible resource who represent a wealth of exceptional scholars and professionals. The teachers, especially in the early childhood department, look at child development in a way that is ahead of its time and offer important insights that other pedagogies simply lack.
Cons
Because the school was evolving from a teacher-led school(College of Teachers) to a typical board-run school, the change in leadership created some internal friction. Perhaps not used to educators pushing back on some issues that needed more clarity, the newly appointed School Administrator was perceived to have resorted to aggressive corporate management tactics that did not fit with the culture. The general consensus was that this was unnecessary given the process and procedures established by the College of Teachers, thus this impacted morale. Hopefully, they have come together as community to move forward the mission of Rudolf Steiner, as this is a very good education.
