Pros
A growing company with great products and friendly staff. They truly have something for everyone, and customers really have a good time in the store. Franchise owners could customize their store's inventory to suit their tastes and offer special orders to meet the customers' demands. Franchise shop owners often work at their store at least a few days a week, so you got to know your boss.
Cons
Hours and wages vary by location. Hours are more suited to college students and people who are more interested in part-time work. At the time of my employment, there did not seem to be too many opportunities to advance to upper-management or transfer between stores. Keeping inventory in stock was sometimes difficult and did effect sales (warehouses did not always have product available to order). Prices can be high for certain items and that can put customers off.
