Pros

Worked as an Engineering Intern for about 6 months. VERY engaged with interns (unlike a lot of auto companies). Not just an overpaid delivery boy/gopher, they make sure you are actually learning and give you REAL assignments that actually contribute to the success of the company. As always you get a good bit of excel/administrative tasks like everywhere, but you actually get alot of time hands on with the parts performing actual engineering tasks like failure analysis, root causing and PV/DV stuff, highly highly recommend to interns looking to actually grow they're skillset and not just collect a paycheck. Pay for interns is very competitive for the area. Company atmosphere is awesome, everyone is joking all the time and even when they're behind on deadlines the teams never let it get them down. Company does regular BBQs and picnics and stuff like that to keep the employees engaged. Definitely working hard to keep employees happy.

Cons

No cons for an intern, intern life was great here. As for salaried engineers; they seemed to be having trouble keeping engineers while I was there. In the 6 months I was present it seemed that almost 80% of the engineers in the building had left and only about 60% were replaced with new hires (they were adamantly working to continue hiring the remaining 20% when I left, they just hadn't landed anyone yet). Considering how awesome the work atmosphere is, I can only assume this was due to compensation that was not competitive to other companies in the area (although as an intern I can't be sure as I don't know what the engineers made). It seemed like engineers were just using the company as a place to gain income while they searched for something with better pay.

Pros

No pros to speak of

Cons

-Claim to be like a family business, but I think they mean the dysfunctional type of "family" -Best performers are given 99% of the workload, where the worst performers are given 99% of the raises -Data is constantly fudged by engineering to make failed tests seem like they passed -Priorities are nonsense, safety hazards are ignored, maintenance is pushed off, but at least there's a dart board that nobody uses in the cafeteria -Management doesn't give a f*ck about you, even when injured, they don't do anything to solve the root cause, or even ask if you're ok -Every all-employee meeting going over the financials is "we're losing money still, but keep up the good work team" idiocracy
