Pros

Job security, benefits/profit share, colleagues, staff discount, very kind head of department, and onsite canteen.

Cons

- Department was heavily relied upon but treated as the bottom of the food chain. - Massive departmental changes implemented at CEO level, labeled as temporary trials but ultimately irreversible and damaging to workflow. - The worst, most difficult customers of which were rewarded and heavily incentivised for bad behaviour, making call handlers lives more difficult overall. - Quite difficult to reach top earning potential as most commission was team based. Pay structure with low basic pay plus commission. - Regular customer advisors were often given supervisor level task such as training up new staff with no financial incentive. - Some people promoted to supervisors/senior colleagues based on length of service rather than quality of work leading to incompetence at senior level. - High colleague turnaround, mainly due to high stress from what I witnessed.

I was sorry to read that your time here at Richer Sounds was not entirely positive. It’s true there have been a number of changes made recently within our Customer Support team with the intention to not only improve the working environment and role for our colleagues but also the level of service we offer to our customers. As with any change we appreciate there can be teething problems but we have genuinely tried out best to listen to the feedback received from colleagues and to make sure decisions made have their best interests carefully considered. Whilst I don’t agree that all your comments are completely fair, for instance the salary for the position is certainly competitive overall whilst ultimately being a commission based role and I am personally not aware of stress being given as a factor for anyone leaving the role, I am sorry that you felt unable to approach us personally with this list of concerns. We would of course have looked at solutions to the challenges you personally faced during your time here had we known.
