Pros

They give you your laptop before they make you leave

Cons

- lots of Turnover - sinking ship - strict engineering mentality, do what you are told vs innovation - very rare opportunity for growth - product cost is so important than investing in technology improvements.

ResQ Response

Dear ResQer, We appreciate the time you took to leave a review about your experience working at ResQ and for recognizing a few of the shared experiences that come from working at a Series A start-up such as; wearing multiple hats, employee churn, and making tough business decisions when the market conditions change. As you know, one of our core values is to “Keep it real” and we know we aren’t perfect but we are striving to be 1% better every day. The good news is that we are investing in our People Managers through ongoing leadership training which will help them grow into great leaders and includes listening and thinking about their employee’s experiences. We are really excited about the future of ResQ and we look forward to working with you through the growing pains of this changing startup world! P.s. As a current employee, you will have heard in our All Hands that we were able to provide all affected employees with well above industry average severance package (which is ‘pay in lieu notice’), supporting many of them in their job search (some have landed their next role already!), as well as gifting everyone to keep their MacBook laptop. We never want to be a blocker to finding their next job, so we really appreciate you listing that as a pro!

Pros

If you’re looking for a fast paced environment, and a niche product with excellent UI, this is the place for you. Constant changes but usually for the better.

Cons

Fully remote with HQ in Canada can be isolating at times.

Pros

Rapidly growing tech startup in the hospitality + service partner space. I've had a wonderful ~9 months here, and anticipate a lot of fun, fast-paced growth ahead. As with any startup, there is rapid change, development, team changes, and the needs of the business shift. If you look at ResQ through that logical lens, it's an incredible place to work where you'll get to experience a ton of career growth, fast, on-the-job learning, and the ability to make an impact.

Cons

If you're looking for a role/company where you can sit back and just collect a paycheck, look elsewhere! ResQ requires thoughtful endurance and a positive mindset. None of this is a 'negative', just sharing the reality of joining an early-stage startup.
