Pros

They have great and talented people in El Salvador office. They do invest in training and certifications. The only pro in MX is that the office is new and they have plans to grow it, but they are struggling to find the people that would accept their conditions

Cons

This company is trying to start an office in Guadalajara but they have benefits and perks that are below the market standards, the benefits they advertise are tricky and are not what anyone in Guadalajara would expect: They advertise 10 vacations days, but they do not tell you that they are only 6 real vacation and the other 4 are sick days, which by the way you cannot take until you have a year in the company. They never tell you that you would be expected to bill at least 44 hours weekly, instead of the standard 40 hours. They advertise having major medical insurance, but they do not tell you that you will have to pay a percentage of it. They advertise Savings Fund, which after 6 months working there, they were still working on define it, therefore I never had it. Their site advertise flexible working hours and home office, but that is only for US, most of Mexico and El Salvador employees would not even get a laptop, only desktops. 4 out of the 10 first employees have already left the company.

Thank you for your review and constructive feedback, we appreciate it. We recognize that being our first hire in Mexico was challenging. Rulesware was brand new to Mexico when you joined, and still ironing out the details of our benefits package. You're right, we hadn't encountered the food voucher benefit before, for example, so were late to add it for our new hires. Our hope is to hire great people who will enjoy the opportunity for growth & learning that comes with joining something new, and who will also have the patience & flexibility needed to thrive in our changing, entrepreneurial environment. We have adjusted our interview questions so that we can be sure to talk more about this, early in the hiring process. I want to respond to your comment about the 44 hour work week. Rulesware is a consulting company, and one of the things we're proud of is that all Rulesware employees are given the opportunity to work directly with our clients in the US. Unlike offshore models where developers work outside standard office hours & are often hidden from clients, our team members all work together. So that means being invited to all client meetings, and being expected to work alongside your colleagues in the US and El Salvador to meet key deadlines. Having said that, we do also offer a very flexible work environment. When employees need to go to doctor's appointments or have family events we always do our best accommodate those requests without any time off requests or extra admin. We prioritize work-life balance for all of our employees, and will do our best to balance employee needs with the needs of our clients. We're very glad you were able to spend a few weeks in our El Salvador office, working with our team there. You're right, they are great & talented employees. And thank you as well for reminding us to provide lots of support to our awesome Operations Lead who moved from El Salvador to Guadalajara with his wife, in order to help us build as strong a team in MX. He has courageously taken on this management job in a new country, and is enjoying the adventure. Sincerely, Carlos Aponte VP, LATAM. Rulesware LLC.

Pros

Flexibility Travelling Open-Door policy for employees Good Bonuses

Cons

Even though they say that we are family but in corporate world there is no family, just employees. So don't fall for "We are a Family" pitch.
