Bad choice in Guadalajara - QA Engineer RULESWARE Employee Review

Thank you for your review and constructive feedback, we appreciate it. We recognize that being our first hire in Mexico was challenging. Rulesware was brand new to Mexico when you joined, and still ironing out the details of our benefits package. You're right, we hadn't encountered the food voucher benefit before, for example, so were late to add it for our new hires. Our hope is to hire great people who will enjoy the opportunity for growth & learning that comes with joining something new, and who will also have the patience & flexibility needed to thrive in our changing, entrepreneurial environment. We have adjusted our interview questions so that we can be sure to talk more about this, early in the hiring process. I want to respond to your comment about the 44 hour work week. Rulesware is a consulting company, and one of the things we're proud of is that all Rulesware employees are given the opportunity to work directly with our clients in the US. Unlike offshore models where developers work outside standard office hours & are often hidden from clients, our team members all work together. So that means being invited to all client meetings, and being expected to work alongside your colleagues in the US and El Salvador to meet key deadlines. Having said that, we do also offer a very flexible work environment. When employees need to go to doctor's appointments or have family events we always do our best accommodate those requests without any time off requests or extra admin. We prioritize work-life balance for all of our employees, and will do our best to balance employee needs with the needs of our clients. We're very glad you were able to spend a few weeks in our El Salvador office, working with our team there. You're right, they are great & talented employees. And thank you as well for reminding us to provide lots of support to our awesome Operations Lead who moved from El Salvador to Guadalajara with his wife, in order to help us build as strong a team in MX.
