Pros
- The team includes people from all over the world and from different backgrounds. Each of us work really well together and communicate effectively (we are all working remotely with Slack). All are super friendly - Gained valuable real-world experience during my year off of school - Team meetings have evolved -- now we are taking the time to get to know each other more, which is particularly useful to learn more about people on different teams - Currently the team is small, so I can clearly see how I'm contributing to the group effort - Opportunity to collaborate with known companies & brands - Bonuses for good performance
Cons
- Very fast-paced work environment, especially with client projects (not much control over the timeline, so being able to adapt is necessary) - May be asked to work on the weekends from time-to-time (only did this when clients asked for weekend work) - The internship is not for people who just want to build their resume; if you don't contribute more than what you think is the bare minimum, it will be noticed - Team size is small, so the amount of work that interns will be expected to do may be more than expected
