Pros

Almost everyone I met was very kind and willing to help me if they could. It is a small quite office which helped with concentrating on work, but not so stuffy that you are afraid to socialize with those around you.

Cons

I was hired on to do an HR job that is still in development and because of that there was a great lack of organization. The person who has been developing this job has done some amazing work in a short amount of time to set the framework but no one besides him knows what is going on with this job. This is fixable but with time. I had barely a week to train for the job, but the training was almost nonexistent. Questions were answered with "I don't know, you look it up?" because when he is gone my job would involve lots of research and he wouldn't be there to answer. However, this started happening the day after I got hired and continued. Management was nice but since I was hired at peak vacation time they were pretty much non-existent which didn't help since I should have been working closely with them. Even though most employees were nice there were a few that were unreasonably rude and aggressive just because of the nature of my job. Overall I was consistently confused, frustrated, and stressed.

It is unfortunate that this employee resigned after one week, we certainly understand that not all personalities mix well, which is why we encourage all of our employees to approach HR or upper management as soon as a conflict arises. Although it appears that the skills, tasks, and stress of the job were not an excellent fit, we wish this employee would have approached us regarding this situation. We would much rather find a position within our organization that is a better fit, than have to see an individual resign so quickly.

Pros

I worked for Quick Medical for 4 years and miss it every day, especially the people I worked with and worked for. The first 3 years was a little rough, until one of the shareholders left the company, after that things became wonderful. I was told by management that their goal was for me to leave as a better person than when I started, both professionally and personally. Its nice to see that still exists in today's cut throat business world, where most companies treat their employees as a liability instead of an asset. They spend a substantial amount of time and money educating and mentoring employees toward personal and professional growth. The HR rep would always address the staff as the "QuickMedical Family", as cheesy and ridiculous as it sounds, it's actually very true for them. Being a small company you have to be okay with a fast pace and rapid changes, you will fail if you cannot adapt. On the flip side since things evolve so quickly your voice gets heard quite loudly, and you have the opportunity for lateral changes if you like. Great pay and benefits for a company this size, and any trade off in pay is well worth it to work for such nice folks. And the company party is at the Salish Lodge!

Cons

It is a small company so there's only so far you can go, but they admit that up front. And support employees making moves to other companies if it means a better life for that employee.
