Pros

Push seemed like a dream when I started. Dogs, tons of snacks, Beer Fridays, young and fun coworkers. Surface-level appearance is enticing to new and potential employees. I was motivated by my coworkers positivity, and the decent autonomy I had.

Cons

A lot of things went south. I heard a lot of complaints through the grapevine, about the poor management. From what I gathered, and from my own experience, a lot of people felt underpaid and overworked, some were not being given clear expectations (lots of vague communication from the founders), and too many were victims to false promises (i.e. "we're hiring someone else soon, don't worry") Two of the founders don't seem to actually know how to manage a team, or individuals. "Leadership" is just in their titles. They are not good at listening, which is vital to an efficient team. I remember someone practically being yelled at by one of the founders (not behind a closed door), creating a monster of a one-sided argument, and then I heard that it was normal for her to do that. That's apparently how she "gives feedback". 😳 Also, the way they handled Covid-19? Yikes.

Pros

Push is a really fun and rewarding place to work! The leadership team has a strong vision for the future and has created a great culture. Your work is valued, and it’s an exciting stage of the company’s growth. Love it here!

Cons

As with many growing companies, priorities can shift quickly and processes are still evolving. Employees who enjoy a fast paced environment, taking ownership, and making an impact will thrive here. If you crave minimal change, routine and slower paced work environment, you may find it challenging.
