Pros

The first year at Profitero was more or less wonderful! I loved my job, the industry, the culture, the people. But within the past half year, this company has turned into something completely different.

Cons

Luckily, I never endured the worst of it, but if you are in a customer-facing role, yikes. You will be more or less forced to work all day, every day, weekends, late nights, you name it, just to please executives. I have known several employees being pushed to the edge of tears, being promised raises/promotions/recognition only to never receive it, and people being let go for no reason other than "each team needs to eliminate an employee." I was able to leave the company on my own terms, but I highly suggest not working here until they get their stuff together and foster a healthier work environment from the TOP down. Also, they have a habit of hiring young professionals straight out of college and giving them an entirely warped view of what the corporate world entails. So if that is you, beware.

Pros

Ownership & Impact: You're given a lot of responsibility early on. I've been able to own projects which have helped me grow quickly. Cross-functional Collaboration: I get to work closely with sales, product, demand gen, and exec leadership—great visibility and a strong understanding of how the business works. Smart, Supportive Team: The people are genuinely sharp and collaborative. I've learned a ton from peers and leaders alike. Customer-Centric: The focus on solving real problems for CPG brands using eCommerce and digital shelf data makes the work feel relevant and high-impact. Momentum & Innovation: The company moves fast and is constantly evolving—new product launches, AI capabilities, and thought leadership initiatives keep things exciting.

Cons

Pace Can Be Intense: If you're not comfortable with ambiguity or switching gears quickly, it might be overwhelming. Limited Formal Training: Learning is very hands-on. Great if you're self-motivated, but could be a challenge for someone who prefers structured development programs.
