Pros

Remote work is always a bonus. Some immediate colleagues are very capable, sadly doesn't represent further up the chain. Fairly easy to leave as they are a massive fan of redundancies in various departments, which I believe is a commitment to their american expansion to also take their work customs. Cool laptop. Brownies on your birthday! woo...

Cons

Management love to apply stress and care little about personal wellbeing of their employees. People in leadership lack any ability or tact to be in those positions with their only qualification being a single microsoft teams course. CEO is extremely vigilant while lacking any ability at all in any field that he decides to oversee that day, I felt on multiple occasions that they showed to be unprofessional and extremely rude. Managers use anonymous complaints to vent the CEOs sentiments to ensure you never feel comfortable working and are always watched. They market themselves on a blameless culture followed by immediately blaming you for things they give you zero power or initiative to improve due to the constant and unrelenting spinning plates. Higher-ups and support seem to think that technical solutions can just be conjured instantly, while lacking any actual planning or leadership for work. Every day there is a new highest priority issue yet they will never ever stop complaining about backlogs, meaning you can't win. However, they still attempt to enforce hard deadlines and they will search for reasons as to why it didn't happen and going as far as blaming individuals despite the "blameless" culture. Mandatory on-call with no financial benefit, only a promise to take time back which never gets realised. Diversity is seriously lacking and there is ZERO understanding or compassion for those that are neurodivergent. I was told by a member of HR that maybe someone with autism shouldn't be working in such a stressful environment. Which is so unbelievably unprofessional. The company is cliquey, which is to be expected by a management team that I'm surprised has more than a high school education. They also seem to hire those at that level for highly technical roles if they are friends with upper management! It feels that no one wants to be there, because honestly who would when HR themselves describe it as a stressful environment. At least they throw a christmas party every year to help everyone de-stress, except they cancelled that. woops. The financial compensation makes up for it if you have no idea what the market rate is, as it is meagre compared to what you can get elsewhere. They also have stopped giving regular raises so be careful what you negotiate, thats probably your final wage.
