          Pros

It (was) good to work at an organisation that believes in law and order, as it's something I feel very strongly about.

          Cons

Total lack of flexibility. People who have been appointed to run IT have no idea. Politics galore. Bureaucracy and paperwork is ridiculous. Very slow to change. Certain staff are there because they've always been there and are often not the right people for the job. It's difficult to overcome years of poor service and support by the entrenched participants. You either work hard and burn out because people actively try to sabotage your work (as it makes them look bad) or you just do what you have to do, knowing you are being prevented from doing your best for the people of NSW. I witnessed the change of guard within IT. The new head feathered his own nest and brought in his own outsiders, then had his acolytes set about executing a dirty campaign to remove those who performed well but told him what he didn't want to hear. Ego issues with current IT management. Witnessed a loss of meeting rooms to the new head's acolytes and having the main staff conference room/meeting room changed into a personal briefing room for the head of IT and redecorated to his whim. Yet won't sign paperwork for necessary procurements. Saw incompetent staff being brought in to execute his bidding and being promoted. Glad I got out. If the actual cops knew what was going on in IT, they'd be horrified.

Is there an ‘active job seeker’ icon for recruiters on LinkedIn the way there is an ‘actively recruiting’ icon for job seekers?

        Senior Resource Manager

Last Thursday and Friday I interviewed with 2 hiring managers for 2 different companies. Both of them said they’d like me to progress to the next interview and the recruiter would reach out. One company said they wanted a offer out this month so it would be a quick process. I sent thank you emails and references. I haven’t heard from either recruiter. I had the recruiter screening and hiring manager interview just days apart, I thought I’d hear back by now. Thoughts?!
