It always hurts when I see reviews like these because I know they are not true; having worked for the company myself over the last 19 years. I have to say that there is always opportunity for promotion within for top performers regardless of their age, color, creed, religion, or other classification. With every small company, however, especially those with low turn-over rates like Miltope, these promotion opportunities do not come around often. Our low turn-over-rates themselves are a testament to the positives of the company. Speaking of opportunities our CEO is probably the best example of those. He began working in Human Resources in the 1990s when the company moved to Alabama. He eventually was promoted to VP of administration, then to COO, and finally to CEO. There are many other similar stories about people promoted who are hard working individuals of every gender, color, and creed.
I know that the anonymous nature of Glassdoor makes it easy to lash out for employees that are let go, which appears to be the case here. Rest assured that our CEO, who is a proud black man, would never allow racism to occur within the company. If you really believe that something occurred related to racism then please contact either hr@miltope.com or corpcom@miltope.com so we can properly address it.
