Pros

They pay weekly and on time

Cons

This is a terrible place to work if you are black person or POC. The manager of the biggest department here would refuse to train his staff because they "were not smart enough" he was referring to his overwhelmingly black labor staff. I was offended for them because it was a clear excuse for him to just get out of the task. He something to this effect every chance he got. Always throwing these people's intelligence under the bus. I watched new white people get preferential treatment over the POC who had been there longer. Fawning over them with raises and promotions while the staff that had been asking for those things was told they just didn't make the cut. One black woman was told she would get a promotion once she reached a certain level. It never came though her workload has increased and variety of duties gets longer and longer. The executives are a monolith and ask you to "hold the line" with them against your own staff no matter what. Managers are expected to protect the company's growth even at the cost of thier health or thier staff's health. One of the top level execs is known for berating anyone who opposes him, even if he is dead wrong. He'll call you all kinds of things to your face and behind your back and because of his position there is nothing you can do. I describe it as working for a dictator and plantation owner at the same time. Most people in the company know his reputation if not having experienced it. Whenever he is around the mood changes from mundane melancholy to dread. Not that he would even say anything, just that he was there. I felt bad for everyone who worked directly under him at all times. They always sound genuinely defeated and depressed by years of working for this one man. Another manager suggested his staff to take hydroxychloroquine when his staff approached him about pandemic concerns. Thank God everyone realized how crazy that sounded. But we were offered pizza when we asked for hazard pay to offset the new challenges presented by COVID (THANKS). Many of the staff who worked here for years told horror stories about how cold and callous these people could be during a personal crisis, and they lived up to it. People were told to watch vacation hours while they were under Quarantine. Just to remind you that they have a knee on your neck even though COVID19 might get you first. The company also held onto the information that people had contracted COVID until they'd died. Rather than warn staff they kept it under the rug until they could no longer. Communication was especially poor here as well. They will try to avoid putting anything in writing in case someone dies them (we really just want to know wtf is going on) Toxic workplace and I'm not talking about the chemical plant.

Pros

PTO days are the only positive here.

Cons

- nepotism within all departments, - extremely low pay - managers are not experienced enough or experienced at all in management of teams. - managers do absolutely nothing and pass all work onto lower employees. - they hire you for one role and you end up taking on several for the same pay, - no room for advancement. - unrealistic expectations. - management are managing teams of operations that they have absolutely no experience in. - AGAIN NEPOTISM IS RUNNING WILD WITHIN THIS COMPANY. AVOID AT ALL COST
