Pros
I worked on LM's GPS III program for 2.5 years and gained an insurmountable amount of knowledge and exposure in that short amount of time. I was part of build, test and launch on 9 satellites, 4 through launched and 7 to build completion awaiting call up. I loved the people I worked on the floor with. Positive and fun environment, management that cares, and one of the coolest clean room environments I could ever imagine working in doing incredible things. I appreciate my time on the GPSIII program and will forever cherish what I learned there and the team I had the pleasure of working with. 4 x 10 schedule and weekly paychecks was wonderful also. Campus is beautiful, but you're usually in a building with no windows.
Cons
The pay was terrible for technicians. If they had paid better I probably would have never left. I left to another company and do one third the amount of work for 60% more pay. Promoting within is rare. You have to jump to another program or company to make more money/promote. For the majority of my time there we worked a minimum of 45 hours. Lots of overtime opportunities but I would rather be paid a fair wage to make a decent income instead of having to work OT regularly. No bonuses for hourly people, even though they are the ones putting in the overtime to make schedule, for the salary people to get the bonuses for making schedule. They are also not forward thinking. They do what has work for past 40-50 years and aren't looking to change that anytime soon. No schedule flexibility (work bell to bell) for hourly workers. Not much employee engagement (do your job plus a little more then go home, rinse and repeat).
