Hearing that HR was writing reviews to improve the company rating inspired this. Sure enough recent reviews are 5 stars and SFX is anything but a top notch company. This is not the worst job I’ve every had, but it is hands down, the worst run place I’ve ever worked at. Take note of the many one-star reviews. Even if you love EDM and want to work in entertainment, this is not the place to be. This isn’t because of “growing pains” due to all the recent company acquisitions. This company has no strong leadership, bleeding time and resources like a sucking chest wound. There is talent here – lots of it, but it only shines independent of propped up executives who show no sense of how to put the pieces together. It isn’t a hard puzzle to solve. Most of the acquired companies were doing fine on their own. No one in charge here can grasp the unprecedented opportunity; to sell and market to the most desirable consumer group of the decade. So many endeavors lack vision, direction, and execution that you will be quite frustrated here. It’s baffling how little ownership and accountability exists in this place, but if that is something you’d like to see first hand – go for it.
