Pros
1. Still quite democratic. 2. Feedback is taken seriously in most cases. 3. Transparency is maintained at org level. 4. Good benefits and pay. After shifting from one function to other, I would say quite a few things are right even today. People must understand as a company grows there will be processed and policies that are essential to address revenue leakage, curb monopoly, dictatorship etc. So, in a way it is setting up norms after storming but people have to stand by. As employees, failure of an organization (largely) is also to be owned just the way we associate ourselves during success of the organization. Very dynamic marketing outreach these days, robust financial controls, people centric yet assertive hr approach are visible apart from what business leaders are doing.
Cons
1. Company is taking performance seriously rather than being extremely liberal in gauging performance. 2. With increasing headcount there are more traction in cost, alignment towards process etc. 3. It is no longer a free ground the way it used to be. All these are cons especially for those who were used to these and perhaps see traction, process and performance driven culture to be restrictive.
