Stay away!!….bad product direction, rampant and random firing, heavy job insecurity and very bad management - Senior Software Engineer Integral Development Employee Review

Pros

1. Some of the engineers ( mostly junior to mid level) are very talented with prior experience in big investment banks, so you can learn a lot from them. 2. Free food, snacks and drinks. 3. Moderate work life balance - depends mostly on the team. 4. For good engineers in India, they are easiest way to get the H1B. As soon as you come here, start preparing and switch.

Cons

Ambush firing are more common than features addition to the products. There is a policy of total non-disclosure, so its very difficult to figure out the road-map of the products or to gauge the performance of the company. Nobody clearly knows whether the company is doing good or bad. The main product was developed 7 years back and currently the major work is to fix the bugs and maintain that crappy codebase. The senior people, barring one or two, are spineless people somehow holding their jobs. Being in such an important business field, I see no seriousness in the attitude of product managers. Most of the bugs are reported by users in production even though there is full QA cycle to test the products. I think I just depreciated my career and personal life by joining this unethical, directionless and pathetic company.

Pros

+ Finance (foreign exchange) gets a bad rap, but Integral is far from boring and they are wearing the white hats to foster community, open markets, and improve price transparency. + Your work affects billions and billions of dollars traded daily. + Smaller size means start-up flat org where you'll be working with everyone from the CEO on down. + There's a nice absence big-company political BS. + The company works hard to take care of you from great benefits to food. + The company's not perfect, but it really is chock full of great people. After many years at Integral, I've only had two colleagues I don't respect (and both are no longer with the company).

Cons

- It's finance so you're not saving the world. - Smaller size means that you might not have time in the schedule or gobs of resources to do some things you want to do. - Finance is highly cyclical, making for high highs (awesome) and low lows (not as awesome).
