Pros
When I moved to Norwich, in September 2014, the first thing I wanted to do was to sort out a job. Something I could get into quickly so that I could pay my bills. I was really just looking for anything: sales, customer service, retail etc. Not necessarily a career or something I could progress in or make something of myself. That could come later when I had settled into my new life here in Norwich. However, what I found here at Iconic Event Strategies was so much more than this. Not only was it somewhere where I could make good money and progress professionally, I’ve found that working here has developed me as person.
I’ve been in sales for most of my working life. Various companies and various products. Places I’ve enjoyed and others not so much. I’ve seen lots of places that promote pushy and aggressive methods and scare tactics caring more about profit than people, that being customers or employees. I can honestly say I have never been in a more positive environment than working with the lovely people here at Iconic Event Strategies. The continuous support I've had from everyone here has been incredible. The relationships I've built with my colleagues here is so great, they're like my best friends as well as business partners, which to me is one of the most important aspects in an ideal work place. I genuinely go to sleep each evening looking forward to waking up and going to work. Something that in my experience is quite unique. So all in all I couldn't imagine a better place to develop my career.
Pros.
Where to start? The positivity, the people I work with, the manager (Simon Reynolds), the work we do, the training, the overall atmosphere, the professionalism, the support from everyone, the business trips either national or international, the competitiveness, the bonuses (cash, dinners or new suits, all from Simon) and most of all the life changing opportunity that's laid out in front of me.
Cons
There are a few things which if not explained properly can be seen as negative. However if the 'why' behind them is understood then not only does it make sense but it is actually a positive. For example we work longer hours than the average 9-5, but we look to achieve more than the average individual in life. Just little things like that but If you want more than the average person you have to do more than the average person. Simple.
