Disappointing Experience

- A lot of the coworkers are really nice. - Benefits are okay at best.
Cons
- *Extremely* high turn over rate. Mostly due to the unforgiving occurrence system. - No holidays off except Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Years (separate bank of 9 days to use for holidays if requested on time throughout the year). - If you call in and are out of sick time but have PTO, you receive a write up ("occurrence") anyway. Sick time is used for late arrival, leaving early, and call ins (even for inclement weather), as well as COVID exposures, illness, etc. With only 40 hours (4 days a year for a 10 hour employee, 5 for an 8 hour...this runs out pretty quickly.) - No development opportunities or structured training for roles. You receive some basics and then you're on your own to figure it out. - No real leadership present at this location. Management seems to adopt the "rules for thee but not for me" approach. - A shocking lack of empathy and flexibility from a company that consistently preaches about values and inclusivity. - This location is in the middle of nowhere. Nothing but a single gas station down the street. Phone service is spotty. Unless you live in Baytown, expect your commute to be 1 hour+ due to traffic. -Anti-Union dialogue among management
