Pros

-They're open to creative ideas -It's a reputable brand that looks good on your resume -People are friendly, depending on your brand/team -You do learn a lot about the different aspects of digital publishing and such

Cons

-They are very stingy with raises/salaries -Higher ups are often credited for your work -HR doesn't have uniform answers/procedures for internal issues and topics, which can be confusing -Some higher ups don't care about their employees at all -The company really expects you to do the most without much appreciation and reward

Pros

I love working at Hearst in the Baltimore, Maryland market. I have worked for many radio stations over the past nearly 40 years and this is one of the best companies as far as working environment. I really feel cared for here.

Cons

On a personal level, I've had a hard time getting full time employment within the company, which is discouraging. Also, it takes forever for management to make hiring decisions.
