Pros

I’m only here for the insurance. The pay is decent, though it used to be better.

Cons

I hadn’t planned on writing a review, but after reading others experiences, I felt compelled to share my perspective on Horn. The company brags in showcasing its financial success, but this doesn’t translate into fair compensation for employees. Raises are now tied to performance, yet the system often feels discouraging even strong contributions can be overshadowed by managers focusing on minor shortcomings. Managers tends to prioritize their own interests, and when challenges arise, employees are not always supported. The culture is also difficult to navigate, workplace gossip and drama are more prevalent here than anywhere else I’ve worked. Unfortunately, this environment makes it hard to focus, even with attempts to tune out distractions. I’ve worked in a number of organizations, but my experience here has been uniquely frustrating. While there may be opportunities for growth, the lack of genuine support and the unhealthy work culture make it challenging to thrive. Like I said before, I’m only here for the insurance, and obviously I need to live. The company and its managers definitely make it evident that they really don’t care about you, only the money they gain. The five star reviews appear to be from managers who are exploiting the perks they have and are completely oblivious from the reality most employees.

Pros

This section getting less andl ess everyday. Used to be a great company with great benefits and yearly raises. Has decent benefits still, I guess.

Cons

Have to inform your supervisor to use the restroom. Management has no clue what skilled trade/precision machine work is, so is letting a supervisor make up rules that only benefit themselves and will only apply to certain people. Supervisors get away with using company phones for personal business on company time multiple times a day, while employees get scolded/written up for even checking the time on theirs. Unless you are a 'Yes Woman/Man' you will not be promoted. DO NOT think outside the box or question why things are being done the way they are, or you will be met with hostility. Raises are now not based on performance, but on what the supervisor wants to give you (popularity contest) No incentive to do better or learn how to do more in the shop as raises/promotions are not performance based. New rules being made up daily, because management does not want to deal with the problem people, they would rather make it everyone's problem. I could go on and on, it seems.
