Pros

My team was the best part. No matter which store I was in I had a great time. Found lifetime friends because of it.

Cons

Money hungry and no work life balance. Favoritism and if they don't like you they get rid of you. Just like that. Give you a lame excuse and send you on your way. You become a slave to this company. The DMs are horrible. Never come in to the store to support you but tell their superior they do. Who knows what lies they tell her. DMs also make you feel as if your always lying to them. The visuals are gigantic and give you almost no hours to execute but want to talk down to you when according to them there was an opportunity and critize on everything. Goals are not realistic. Those of us who worked so hard get talked down too and make us feel horrible but those who are in a good market and try 0% get all their attention. They don't care about their employees but only those who make money. They are opening so many stores near each other that it's hard to make goal. I gave this company years of my life which I see as of a waste and now looking back I am thankful I no longer work for them. One advice to them if they even care is take the time to ask your people how they are feel and do some research on your district managers. They speak to people like they are 5 years old and yell at them curse at them etc. human resources needs to step in. This company would be a better place if they treated us with more respect. So stressful from the time you wake up to the time you go to bed. I am beyond happy I get to now work else where in where I can be stress free and they care about my well being. This is my opinion and my review on years of work with garage

Pros

There are absolutely no pros for this company

Cons

The store environment was challenging due to internal team dynamics and a lack of clear role boundaries. There was a strong social culture among long-tenured employees, and informal influence at times conflicted with the management structure, making it difficult for new managers to establish authority and lead effectively. Leadership communication was not always consistent or aligned, which led to confusion around expectations and execution. Direction was sometimes relayed differently across team members, and there was not always a unified approach to accountability. There were also concerns around how feedback and workplace issues were handled. Situations raised were not always managed with a high level of discretion, which created discomfort and made it more difficult to address concerns openly. Stronger confidentiality practices would improve trust within the team. Work-life balance could be impacted by unclear expectations around availability, including off-the-clock communication. Additionally, accountability within the team was inconsistent at times, with miscommunication leading to confusion around responsibilities and follow-up. Overall, the environment felt more reactive than structured and not fully supportive of new leadership.
