Pros

Fully remote work if desired, some amazing colleagues.

Cons

Very poor decisions made by upper management led to Frontiers being an awful place to work. All lower level staff I interacted with were extremely unhappy in their role, especially within the publishing development department. The fact that many people, myself included, were leaving with no new job lined up in this economy speaks volumes about how dire the situation is. This was mainly due to increased workload because of understaffing, a pay freeze for the second year in a row and a complete disregard for any feedback given to upper management. Other issues were constant restructuring as a panicked response from upper management, making an otherwise low stress role very high stress and no career progression. The job role was also extremely mundane with no real sense of achievement or job satisfaction, it felt like working in a call centre toward the end.

We're sorry to hear that you didn't feel your feedback was taken into account. We understand your concerns about restructuring and changing workloads, and last year was particularly tough for all of us. We did however stabilize the company in a very short period of time and are on a growth path once again.
