Pros

Paychecks are (usually) on time.

Cons

If you need the money, go ahead and take the offer, but keep applying elsewhere. Otherwise, stay FAR far away. This place is a black hole for any motivation you may have in your discipline. I was more or less let loose into the company with little onboarding or direction. There was no real workflow - I was asked on more than one occasion to describe my process so that it could be added to project management software, yet nothing ever changed. Priorities were all over the place, too. There were several times my superiors would come to me with their hair on fire, saying they needed a project done ASAP. I'd panic along with them, set everything aside, put 110% into the new project, and then NEVER hear back about it, even after requesting updates. Things were no better on team projects. My workflow and decisions were questioned at nearly every turn. While my best work happens in team settings, my insight and knowledge of my discipline was ignored on more than one occasion by all members of management all the way up to the CEO. This led to me having to spend double the amount of time on some projects, because the planning and safeties I'd put into place were vetoed in favor of measures that saved other people time and work. On top of this, the equipment I had was subpar for the level of work I was asked to do, and it took over a year of asking for a mediocre upgrade to be delivered. While I was being denied equipment... artwork, game tables, and renovations were being invested in. The artwork bordered on inappropriate for the workplace - a neon Playboy clock was purchased and placed where all manner of clients and visitors could see. It promptly broke, and was left there. There were foosball and arcade cabinets when I worked there, but don't use them unless you'd like questions from management as to why you're not at your desk, and to have your pay docked by HR. Speaking of HR, while the people themselves were very nice, they watched our timecards like hawks. If you were fifteen minutes shy of 40 hours in a week, it came out of your vacation time. Management can be incredibly unprofessional at times. The CEO calls company-wide meetings that can run over an hour. Sometimes, those meetings just end up being personal anecdotes with a vague moral about hard work at the end. It all seemed very out of touch with what the majority of employees were concerned about. Other members of management displayed even more egregious behavior. Current and former employees were openly trash-talked, and inappropriate comments on race and gender were made. One manager, looking at a job application, saw a Hispanic name and asked another manager with a wink if he thought she'd have that "Latina fire." This kind of behavior led to incredibly high turnover. There was one year I had three different managers. Some were fired with no warning, others quit. In my experience, no one was ever told their performance was lacking before being fired. I must have seen ten people get fired, and it came as a surprise to all of them. Some of these people cared deeply about the company's mission and were dedicated to making it work. Unfortunately, if a member of the boy's club doesn't get along with you as a person, it doesn't matter how hard you work. You're out. Lastly, the pay is awful. There are no performance reviews or raises unless you ask... three or four times. There is no room for promotions unless you are personal friends with management. The mood there is absolutely dismal and oppressive, and management is committed to treating the symptoms, and not the cause. One more thing... I can personally confirm several of the things mentioned in other negative reviews. However, more than one of the five-star review here reads EXACTLY like a couple specific members of management wrote them. I'd recognize it anywhere.

Pros

Leadership and direction Space to grow Ideas are always evaluated fairly Constant feedback from leadership A sense of "you get out what you put in" Flexibility It's worth noting that some past reviews reflect the frustrations of departing employees rather than the full picture of what it's like to work here day to day. Like any workplace, this company has its challenges, but those experiences don't represent the majority. For anyone considering joining, I'd encourage you to look at the broader pattern and form your own impression. The reality is more nuanced than some reviews suggest.

Cons

Added benefits such as 401k would be a plus

Pros

FreeCast gives you real ownership over your work. You’re trusted to be creative, move quickly, and make decisions that have a tangible impact on the company. There’s strong cross-functional collaboration between departments, which keeps projects dynamic and encourages big-picture thinking instead of siloed execution. It’s an excellent environment for self-starters who want autonomy and visibility. Career growth potential is significant for those who take initiative and consistently deliver results. Leadership is accessible, ideas are welcomed, and contributions genuinely matter. The culture is energetic and team-oriented, and small perks like Wednesday morning breakfasts add to the sense of community.

Cons

As a growing startup, processes and communication channels are still evolving. Priorities can shift quickly, and structure may not always be as defined as in larger organizations. Benefits and compensation reflect a scaling company rather than a large, mature corporation. That said, this is part of the tradeoff for having meaningful influence and growth opportunities at this stage.
