Pros

-work from home -pay differential for speaking Spanish - fulfilling to provide MNT to people with limited access

Cons

-pay is below market rate and company was not open to negotiating -went through two restructuring events in three months, letting go of many W-2 RDs with zero notice -management is not open to feedback. A coworker suggested an improvement for charting and instead got a lecture on how FoodSmart is the best company to work for -A lot of pressure for hour long sessions. This is easy for initial consults and certain clients but not practical for all follow ups. When this is brought up to management it ends up in gaslighting RDs on how they just need to create engaging sessions - training was rushed. There are many technical issues with FoodSmart bucks (incentives clients receive for meeting with us) and RDs are expecting to troubleshoot. Most of my emails to support put the responsibility back on me to figure it out. Questions get posted on slack and are answered by fellow RDs. Management seems to be nowhere to be found much of the time

Pros

I really have been enjoying my time working with Foodsmart. Foodsmart has given me the financial freedom and flexibility I been wanting working as a first time mother. I can choose my own hours and days I work. Depending on the position one chooses with Foodsmart, each has a limit of how many hours one must work but Very reasonable. I have learned alot of valuable things while working for Foodsmart via my peers, managers, and even clients. Everyone at Foodsmart is always so ready to help whether its a client or a peer. No one is left in the dark, as long as they are willing to ask for help. Another great thing about Foodsmart is that administrative tasks, like billing, are managed for you and I don't have to do any of that. I just speak with my clients and submit my paperwork for them on time.

Cons

The only thing that sometimes I dont like is some days I dont have a full patient load once I have seen all my follow ups and as Foodsmart with with a variety of clients who sometimes chooses to not show up. This is of course not Foodsmarts' fault as this depends on the season and client availability/understanding of what we do.
