Pros

The TAM team is supportive of each other and has a direct line to most areas of the company (Dev, Product, etc) because of the ARR that they manage. This is a company that you can retire from. Decent decent salary and MBO.

Cons

Pay increases only come with a title change, and in a company as small as FireMon there is only so much upward mobility. Unlimited PTO is a negative here as it relies on your manager to let you utilize it. If you have a great manager, you get PTO. If you don't then having unlimited does matter.

Pros

Nearly everyone I've worked with has been knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Work-from-home policy is a huge perk. Interesting and growing market.

Cons

We get in our own way a lot. At least in engineering, we seem to be stuck in a startup mentality even though the company has grown past that – we don't have well-defined roles to help with career progression, and sometimes work assignments, requirements, and deadlines feel like the wild west. Also, good luck keeping up with inflation. It is difficult to get any meaningful raises even while the company is making more money than it ever has.
