Pros
BENEFITS: Ferrellgas has really generous benefits for full-time employees. The company gives employees free money to help cover part of their benefits and they give employees $600/year in wellness credits. RETIREMENT: The Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) is an amazing benefit. To have money put into my retirement account without any contribution of my own is truly making a difference in my future. The 401k match is above-average as well. PEOPLE: The people at Ferrellgas are really nice and even though it's a company of 4,000+, I've never felt like a number. I know that even our most senior leaders care about the people within this Company.
Cons
At the corporate office, it's hard to understand what goes on in the field. Likewise, I'm sure employees in the field don't understand what goes on here. That being said, our leaders openly share information with us about our business. I know that if I have questions, all that I have to do is ask.
