Pros

average pay for the industry good benefits FedEx appears to be committed to staying in the LTL industry, overall good job security

Cons

LOTS of politics, if you're "in" with the right people you have nothing to worry about, if you're not, management can make coming to work miserable. Employees (hourly and low level managers) are treated as easily replaceable pieces of equipment. It is NOT a team effort, each group is pitted against the others with inconsistent goals (dock vs. drivers vs. dispatch vs. ...) The goal of management is NOT to service the customers, it is to get a good "score" on internal audits. Managers advance by undercutting those around them.

Pros

Good pay ,benefits ,and people. Can move up/on to other positions. Education reimbursement too

Cons

Heavier boxes ,also awkward sizes that are large! Then step up into truck with those heavy n awkward boxes.12 hr days, not 10 as posted in job application box. Supposedly contracting out soon so be careful if choose this job.cant follow procedures for truck loading safety bc in reality it’s that’s not how it’s done on trucks bc everyday is a rush (they say it isn’t though)
