Pros
They did offer to pay for my gas.
Cons
I didn't work at this company, but I did apply for the upholstery position. I learned later that it was not just an upholsterer position, but head of the department. What drew me in was the advertised pay. $50-$100k a year. I have over 20 years experience doing upholstery and I was a perfect fit. I called several times to get more information and finally was able to submit a resume and schedule an interview. I pointed out to the head of the hr department that I live 3 hours (yes 3 HOURS) from the business location and asked if an over the phone interview was an option. I was told that interviews are done with the owner and only done in person. I agreed and one the date of the interview I arrived to meet the owner and go over the specifics of the job and pay. (I was told that the pay is based on experience) I arrived and was told to wait for a few mins while the head of HR got ready. I asked for a tour of the facility while I waited and was shown around the tin warehouse that I can only imagine but be brutal in the summer months here in GA. Fiberglass dust is on EVERYTHING! Including the brandnew mattresses going in the rv camera. I finally meet with the head of HR expecting the owner as well and he is apparently out of the office. It's up to him for the pay rate weather I am hired. My interview lasts about 7 mins. After that I start my 3 hour drive home. This was a complete waste of time. I've been waiting 2 weeks for a call back and nothing. I've called a few times and nothing. During the interview I did learn that the pay was absolutely just bait. The previous employee doing the job was paid $18hr. DO NOT APPLY TO THIS JOB.
