Pros
FIDM has great people to work with that you get along very well
Cons
The poor management decisions and lack of young faculty and talent meant that the people working there were set in their ways and unwilling to adopt newer ways of working more efficiently. That is to say many of the people working there probably would have excelled at their jobs working in the late 1990's and late 2000's to 2010 but after that because they are set in their ways, trying to continue to use the same old methods were just not going to work in the 2020's and onwards. For example, Why do you need to use Windows XP when it is 2019? Using computers that are more than 10 years old? Just doesn't make sense.
Spending a fortune of the budget on Desktop Computers for classrooms just before COVID was probably not a great decision on the IT Director's part when during COVID everyone needed laptops. Which in her own words were that we were all just an "Expense" and not even appreciated as employees under her own team. Which instead of taking full responsibility for that decision began to lay off everyone in the department until eventually there was no one else left to blame and she was let go also.
