I worked at Electronic Arts full-time

    Pros

Managers were great. Projects were fun. Usually treated like an adult and with respect. Team members were great to be around.

    Cons

Long hours. Food wasn't the best. Pay and bonus were good but it's hard to enjoy it when you feel burnt out.

    Advice to Management

It's too easy to burn out the team. The team needs more say on project timelines and features. Quit having so many manager 1:1's...it's a waste of time.

I worked at Electronic Arts (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Good work/life balance
unlike what I was told before joining EA about their long hours and lack of appreciation for employees' time, my managers made a good effort in making sure that the employees expectations in terms of work/life balance is met.
    - We played games at work
    - The pay is good.

    Cons

    - There were too many non-technical managers in every team.
    - The tasks in my team were divided in a way that every software engineer did exactly one thing that they were good at. Meaning that you don't get to learn too much from being involved in different aspects of the work.
    - Huge waste of money on too many parties
    - The only food option nearby is the Cafe inside EA. The food is not too good and expensive as well.
