Pros
DesignHammer is a pretty small agency, that usually employs around 10 staff members at any given time. The majority of employees have been with DesignHammer 7+ years because it's a very steady, flexible, and reliable work environment with management that truly treats their employees right. You aren't going to get the hustle and bustle large agency feeling working here–which can be a downside sometimes too, because I personally enjoy keeping productively stressed (within reason); but sincerely, employee health and balance is the most important thing to everyone. Everyone really function as a team and nobody acts superior to one another, which is in part due to the limited managerial hierarchy. Innovation, asking questions, independence, and professional development is always encouraged. The small size of our team means that we get to wear a lot of different hats and learn new skills in a variety of areas, but most importantly the small agency size means you actually get to see how your work directly impacts the overall success of the company. I do really enjoy my position here.
Cons
The only downsides for me are pretty mild and mainly related to the age gap between me and the other employees who are all in the 35+ year age range, as well as the office being on the older-side. The current staff also consists of introverts so it can be somewhat hard to get to know them at first if you're used to working in a very extroverted environment.
