Pros

Unlimited PTO. I can often take a few hours during the day to go to any appointments I have for myself and my family. Work from home and flexible hours. The company has employees from all over the world and SOD/EOD hours can be flexible around what time block works for you. Creative freedom. When you are given a task to complete there is complete freedom in how you choose to complete that task. The company has always paid the lions share of the Healthcare costs, even when costs rise they have always kept the employee contribution within a few dollars of the starting amount. The stock options offered are good, 250-500 shares per year.

Cons

Constant downsizing, it feels like you will be in the next round of lay-offs and it hangs in the air often. Little oversight of employees. Very little shadowing occurs. It is easy to forget who your direct reports are as they change often. This company pivots and reorganizes often. A few times a quarter the executive team will push a new initiative based on the guidance of investors that alienate our existing customers and results in re-training costs. It feels like we are performing "make work" tasks due to the directional changes. Every quarter we reorganize the company structure. It can be easy to feel overwhelmed. There is only a single project planner to manage every employees weekly sprint. It can be hard to get guidance when you are lost on a task, everyone is very busy.

Pros

Unlimited PTO is a nice benefit

Cons

This place is a mess. All of the employees who know the product have left, excluding the former CEO. The company has secured additional funding but as a result has a board that has taken the steering wheel. Culture is terrible, people are not helpful. Slacks take forever to be answered, customers hate the product, and now there is an abundance of people who can document and escalate problems and a shortage of people who can actually solve them.
