Pros

Your coworkers, unlimited PTO, benefits are pretty good, fully remote work,

Cons

Senior leadership can really make or break a company—something I hadn’t fully realized until now. Just a few new leaders can completely shift the culture and direction of a business. Ever since the company was bought out and new management came in, they’ve been trying to turn it into a mini-Accenture. The focus has shifted to chasing big clients, cranking out work, and prioritizing sales over everything else. Building strong client relationships or focusing on retention doesn’t seem to matter anymore if they can land new deals. The work expectations are way too much—working 60 hours a week feels like the new normal. And as others have mentioned, there have been layoffs, but leadership seems determined to pretend they didn’t happen. It’s like we’re all supposed to act like nothing’s changed.

Pros

CQL is not an organization for beginners or those content with simply meeting the minimum requirements. It’s a place that demands excellence, built and led by professionals who have spent years mastering their craft. The leadership team stands out because they’ve done the work themselves—and, in many cases, continue to do so. This is a workplace for high performers. Our team consists of individuals who take pride in their work, view it as their craft, and approach each day with a passion for going above and beyond. The high standards here are reinforced by strong processes and clear expectations. CQL is not for everyone, and some Glassdoor reviews reflect that reality. However, what remains is a dedicated group of professionals who thrive in this environment. If you’re a career-minded individual who values high performance and refuses to settle for mediocrity, CQL could be the ideal place for you.

Cons

At CQL, it’s not uncommon to find your day packed with back-to-back meetings, leaving little room for downtime in between. This reflects the dynamic and fast-paced nature of the organization rather than a shortcoming. However, it’s important for prospective candidates to understand that success here requires adaptability. If you’re not accustomed to managing a high volume of meetings or navigating frequent context switching, you may find this environment challenging. That said, for those who thrive in a busy, high-energy setting, this could be an excellent fit.
