Pros

The people at CNET are mostly kind and helpful.

Cons

Editorial standards have dropped precipitously since CNET was purchased by Red Ventures. Focus is now almost entirely on best lists, which are increasingly written without any testing to support them. Constant layoffs and employee-blaming. Long term authority being neglected in service of short term profits. Constantly spoke of diversity and inclusion, while laying off the entire Spanish language staff and minority writers/hosts, seemingly because their salaries were higher than the new straight-from-college hires.

Pros

- The people at CNET are some of the kindest and smartest I've ever worked with - Opportunity to grow/carve your own career path, as long as you're willing to put in the work - Team members at all levels are encouraged to have a voice and contribute to the bigger picture

Cons

- Change is constant and can get exhausting - Can be disorganized/all over the place (but I will say has made strides in this area over the years) - Significant workload, especially during certain times of year (September around Apple Announcement, Holiday/Q4) - if you don't like jobs that keep you busy then this is probably not the company for you
