Pros
- There were always areas to try to make things a bit more efficient from a process perspective if it was in your control - Marketing Org was a real tight knit family, and the CMO cared/cares about her team - Established lifelong relationships beyond Brocade - Accomplished much of the marketing vision that was kickstarted 3-4 years ago from the digital spectrum - Despite so many changes, the people is what made Brocade great
Cons
- Was extremely difficult to learn and branch out from role (if you were really good at something, you had so much work it was difficult to branch out) - Big departure in caring about employee well being/happiness when Klayko left (less employee events, tighter budget) - Personal feeling was that marketing wasn't valued by higher execs (very engineer centric) - Routine driven; change was difficult once a process was set in place
