not much can be expected with a dummy leader in India office, where most decisions are taken by old timers. The politics and favoritism can be seen in every aspect, including promotions and hikes. You are a yes man to manager and you get your promo! Some people, who are partially talented, are treated as Gods, and promoted every other cycle... where is fairness? No good technical work, lot of maintenance and support work done out of India. Only few teams receive the applauds, extreme of biases No point talking to the useless HR, in office only for a show off. Anything feedback you provide to HR, does not stay confidential - i think way too transparency in this aspect only. Goes straight to the person the feedback is about, increasing the rift. One of the worst experiences! Inexperienced and arrogant folks promoted to manager positions, from Admin to engineering. Newly promoted managers way too insecure of their position and no experience of team management, still favored by the leadership, so you cant say a word. Exciting things like Hackathon, continue to stop coz people might become productive. even the solutions suggested during hackathons never get implemented. All fun exists in terms to parties, but none when it comes to work.
