Pros

Top 100 Canadian companies 3 years in a row! great benefits, mentoring, education supplement, work culture, support. Invests in their employees.

Cons

Paid time off instead of sick days, flexible but maximum 5 days per year. So if u get sick after taking your 5 days you don't get paid for the additional sick days, unless it's covered under medical coverage

Pros

-Yearly bonus -Safety committee incentives -Social groups -Binnie paid activities/lunches -Education allowance -Low employee turnover (many with company over 20 years) -Paid time off for appointments (PTO) in addition to vacation -More vacation than competitors -Employee-owned company -Associate "buy-in" opportunities for long-standing employees -Deferred Profit Sharing deposited to DPSP account after 2 years of service -Paid conferences and continuing education (Lunch and learns) for EGBC and ASTTBC registered employees -Great management -Amazing information sources (internal Bintranet search engine) and training available for new hires -Monthly 1:1 check-in with staff manager -Required yearly compensation review. -Infinite career advancement opportunities And so much more.

Cons

Slow pay progression in comparison to smaller competitors. **Please note: My only frame of reference regarding pay progression is from my last employer of 3.5 years. There are only 10-12 employees and are very loose with pay standards in this competitive market. It is hard to find qualified people nowadays.
