Pros

A bonus. Breakfast every morning before work, free tea/coffee, but no proper drinking water supplied (tap water in the kitchen only). Apart from that I cannot think of any pros working at Bath ASU avoid this company at all costs if you can! Don't do it, no matter how desperate you get.

Cons

Don’t be fooled by the shiny building and the “perks”. They say all the right words but don’t actually follow through. You will find that middle management is made up of people who are untrained and got the job because they’ve been there long enough. Also, most moved up by throwing others under the bus. The salaries are very low compared to the industry standard. I know the location calls for lower salaries but there is little or no pay scales or salary reviews. There is no sick pay, health care, pension, life insurance and the salary make it impossible to buy this privately. There is no flexi-time and minimum annual leave. Lack of recognition of effort and beyond the extra mile. Absolutely the worst company I have ever encountered, no moral compass, no concern for health and safety regarding a lethargic worn out workforce. Incompetent management hierarchy. No career development once joined. Saturated leadership and hence no progression levels below. Felt like a high turnover of staff was expected and therefore you are pushed to breaking point and not valued for it. Most people leave because of the harassment from upper management. They drag you around until you either break or you start to slack. They make promises and rarely provide closure. The management team is difficult to work with as it is clear they don't all work well together themselves. Maybe if the company focused more on progression rather than focusing on people’s toilet usage, they would be better off. Avoid at all costs if you want to work somewhere where you are respected and valued. Systems and processes are broken and inefficient and management routinely ignores employee solutions that address root causes and instead focuses on band aid solutions that keep resulting in wasted energy. Please read all the reviews in case you are thinking of applying here. They are all true reviews apart from the ones that have 5 stars (they are fake and written by head office) it won’t be any different when you start. Everyone thinks they can handle it but it’s impossible and unbearable for most of employees apart from the ones who have no self-worth or no other experience who stick it out. Being at Bath ASU has honestly made me extremely depressed. The manager is a bully and treats everyone like rubbish. The ones who are stronger and have the balls to stick up for themselves will always end up leaving in the end as it will never change. The ones that stay are the ones who are the puppies and do what the managements want to bully weaker and those only looking for their own interest. Good people will leave or pretend to change themselves adapt to this poisoned environment. Don't believe what they said or promised. They will brainwash you but later you will find out the truth. Those who know how to talk and show off will be favoured by managers. It's a terrible place to work. Not a whole lot of room for advancement or growth. People tend to get pigeon holed into one duty. The biggest downside is the workload, and the lack of staff to cope with it. There is a lot of overtime associated with the job, so work/life balance is poor. Health and safety regulations are not upheld (long hours, dangerous near misses, no risk assessments done for “biological agents”). This is a capitalistic company that truly only cares about their bottom line and the money they make but they care nothing about the employees. They treat the employees like they are disposable and that's how they truly feel and it shows. It’s never about YOU. You are nothing to them as an employee. Nothing but a piece of dirt on the ground, easily replaced by next dirt. Don’t make that mistake. And then they also reply to these reviews saying they "truly sorry" we experienced these things, and will ask how they can improve on them, TO SAVE FACE, but they never actually take into consideration the things so many employees while there complain about. Find a company that actually cares about their employees as much as they care about their bottom line. Bath ASU IS NOT that company.

Pros

I joined Bath ASU at a particularly difficult time in my personal life, having recently experienced a bereavement. From day one, the senior management team showed genuine compassion and continuous support, even during moments when I was struggling the most. Their understanding and willingness to help made a huge difference and allowed me to settle into my role as Shift Lead in aseptic manufacturing with confidence. The company is currently expanding and going through significant positive changes, which has given me the chance to help shape the culture within our department. Being able to contribute to how the team grows and evolves has been incredibly rewarding. The facilities are excellent—modern, well-maintained, and designed to support high-quality aseptic production. The production team itself is diverse, friendly, knowledgeable, and highly professional. It’s a collaborative environment where people genuinely care about the work they do and the impact it has. I’m very proud to be part of the journey Bath ASU is on, especially as we prepare to expand into a new facility. It’s an exciting time to be here, and I feel fortunate to grow with the company.

Cons

The only negative is the lack of parking space available, especially on a late shift.

Pros

The company pays salaries to people who need to earn a salary

Cons

Does not adhere to correct health and safety prossesses to support employees or the patients that they are responsible for. Disrespectful in attitudes to some staff. A variety of senior staff allowed to treat junior staff in unacceptable ways, unfair treatment, lack of understanding of many health and safety processes and procedures and the their control. Far too much overlooking of issues of disrespect of staff, favouritism and unfairness in treatments. Many senior members of of staff in positions they should never have attained due to unsuitable behaviors, personal traits, unsuitable levels of personality.......just because you have a degree does not qualify you as suitable to be in a role.
