Pros

They cover lunch, that is about it.

Cons

It's a shame I have to give them a single star, to be honest. -500 stars would be very generous. Management is cruel and callous, they lack empathy and compassion. They blatantly take advantage when it comes to hours, and techs being salaried. I would list everything, but there is a character limit. I would also link to my post containing 28 horror stories, but that was blocked by GlassDoor as an advertisement. I'll list three of my horror stories that demonstrate the callousness. This doesn't even factor the fact it's a miracle I'm still alive. On a number of occasions, I was pushed to the point I was blacking out behind the wheel of one of their vans. One one instance I was required to drive until 3:00 A.M. Sunday morning, not Saturday. Then I had to return to the office the next day to start the next workweek. 6. This is one of my most memorial and favorite. You will notice why in a bit. I got instructed to help a bank move over the weekend. I work 12 hours Saturday, 10 hours Sunday, I believe I worked 8 to 10 hours Monday. I either left on Tuesday or Wednesday. Considering I worked all the previous week Monday-Friday, the weekend, and Monday and Tuesday, I decided to take Wednesday off. So I called in. When I returned Thursday, I got taken to the lunch room and was threatened with termination or transfer to the OKC office. The reason for the threats. I took Wednesday off and I had been taking hour long lunches, which our Oklahoma City office had been doing so all along. For my location, management was demanding 30 minute lunches. I had been taking hour lunches based on the fact I was working 10 hours a week others weren’t. Since I was the main person traveling for BankOnIT at the time, especially at the Tulsa office. I basically had to pucker up and repeatedly apologize for taking my lunches and taking a day off, to keep my job. 21. Now for what lead up to me taking the time to write up this document. I tend to be lazy, when it comes to writing, so you can easily figure out how angry I am about it. I put in 16 hours on Tuesday, getting five hours of sleep. I do nearly the same on Wednesday. So I end up putting in around 15 hours of unpaid time in. The following Thursday, I am taken into the office and am given a write up. The thanks I got was a write up for nearly two days of unpaid work. Any efforts made to defend myself were meet with, “It’s out of my control” or basically “sucks to be you”. Instead of showing empathy and compassion, management chose callousness and cruelty. If there had been a lead up to this, it would have been handled completely different. There was absolutely zero warning this was even coming. My last one on one basically indicated no improvements were needed and everything was fine. Honestly if compassion and empathy had been traits within this organization, a lot of things would have turned out differently. When it came to praise or appreciation, management was nowhere to be found. If something was missed or a mistake was made, management was very quick to come down and issue reprimands, at least for me. 28. The week before you are on call, you are the backup on call. Therefore you are responsible for dealing with issues, if the primary is busy. On the next to last day, as the backup, I was asked me to trade on calls with a tech going on site. I reluctantly agreed because I had a strong suspicion they would pull something. During my lunch break, I discovered that made me the backup a second week in a row. When I asked about that, and was given "sucks to be you" not the exact phrasing but close enough. I was effectively screwed into a three week on call rotation, which I'm not aware of anyone else having to ever endure there. I got pissed off about it. Because I had the audacity to get angry, they wrote me up then threatened to fire me if I didn't shut up. That was three weeks I wasn't allowed to ride my bike, go to the movies, or be more than 20 minutes away from the house. They saw no issues with those expectations. They made many promises over the years, but this is the only one I can think of that they honored. I highly doubt my experiences there were unique. What is unique is I tolerated the treatment longer than most have. I base this on the fact most Tier 2s have departed the company, from the time I was hired. Out of the original travel team, maybe 2 or 3 are still with the company. We started with I believe 10. Several travel team members, after the first batch, have also left. You guys regretting not offering a severance package, you offered them to people who endured much less. Don't feel too bad, I would have declined it. Calling you out publicly is worth more to me than four weeks of pay. Yes I have seen a signed copy of one such package. There would likely be more reviews on here if many people didn't sign severance packages since there was a non disparagement clause prohibiting them from posting on social media and possibly here.

Pros

Free Lunch, Lots of experience. Great coworkers.

Cons

Zero time to work tickets. Constant phone calls. Expected to know things that you would only know if you've done this for a decade plus. I was put in a position that I had to work off the clock (no overtime allowed) in order to complete work on tickets; otherwise I would have been written up/put on a PIP. (I would like to point out that I was at one point a top performer in my department and not slacking or lazy). Constant policy changes to keep up with, and some of which contradicted themselves. During my time here, they froze internal promotions. They had a clearly defined promotion path that was in my opinion unachievable due to the constant changes, promotion freeze, and nature of the work.
