Avail Medsystems Response
5y
Avail has started putting in place programs focused on our employees, specifically building a culture of increased engagement at all levels in the company. We are excited at the transformation and continuous improvement efforts to building a strong and high performing team. As we continue to scale, our focus will remain on our employees and their journey with Avail. We are setting high expectations for both our employees as well as management and feel confident we will achieve our goals as we continue to build a new market for Procedural Telemedicine. Our voluntary turnover is below market and we are proud of this fact. We will continue to hear employee feedback through organization assessments and other means that welcome employees to speak up. This is how employees will continue to thrive at Avail and we will stay focused on continuous improvement.

Pros

Engineering was a cohesive team that encouraged growth and celebrated each other's victories. My managers and co-workers gave support and time to share knowledge. There was the utmost professional respect regardless of your experience or background knowledge.

Cons

In the end, the company missed a round of funding and ceased operations on short notice. We were allowed to ask about funding in the preceding months. In retrospect, we were perhaps spared the finer, grittier details. For all the good in the management team, this lack of transparency did harm.
