Pros

They paid me really well and treated me better than they treated any other call center employee. That should be remembered as you read my cons section. What I experienced was the best they have to offer you.

Cons

Where to begin? As stated above I was paid pretty well compared to others I knew were making $15/hr. Towards the end I was making like $23/hr. I had been there 3 years. Starting on the eufy team and then becoming a product expert for the security line. I was 410's and fully remote. The pto and sick time was always a joke. The bare minimum required by WA state law. Every time I got a raise I was told point blank to my face that they don't care what the law says, if I tell anyone how much I made, I would be fired. Endless calls. Back to back open to close every single day. Being messaged by the manager. In all caps berating you for using the rest room. I was gaslit into staying as long as I did. Every time I had a problem, they would convince me I was the problem. I took the most calls of anyone. Got the most bonuses of anyone and I was treated like a child repeatedly and scolded often. I left because I got covid and was deathly ill. I was berated into coming in while I was sick (remote, mind you, but very ill) and then they tried to make me work overtime and told me that they didn't believe I had covid and that I was faking it (I provided a doctor's note prior to this). I couldn't take it anymore and I quit. Right there in a meeting. 2 weeks later I got the best job I've ever had. Making almost 15k more a year, unlimited pto and sick time. Yearly bonuses. Quarterly stock payouts. The best company and team I could ever dream of. I went through actual hell for 3 years because they convinced me I couldn't do better. That's what anker is, hell. An absolutely abusive work place. You don't need this place. Don't work here. If you work here, quit. Please. I'm begging you, save yourself. I'm still recovering from the PTSD over a year later.

Pros

some coworkers - but they took our ability to talk freely with them away.

Cons

Really thought I'd enjoy this job since I enjoy the product, but a few months in I realized what was going on. Accountability doesn't exist within management. Facts are: you're overworked, penny raises if they are approved, and massive gaslighting from management. And not to mention new products come out monthly without your knowledge and there's no training on them. Every day is non-stop calls and escalations that you handle whether it's communicating to the engineers or playing manager in email. Lastly, PTO is denied more than approved, they won't hire to help the load even when outsourcing support it doesn't help the call volume, there's barely any support during calls, and you never know if you'll get the nice side of management or the nasty vengeful side when needing help or "you messed up" bc their system is from the 1900s. In all my years of working in support, I have never seen such a crap show before. Since being there, I have anxiety attacks and chronic headaches; not to mention stress-induced PTSD. Honestly, find another job that won't make you physically ill. Or mentally ill. Really this job causes both. Run. If you have health problems, they don't care. Bullying is a thing if they hate you and want you gone. Lying to your face is also a thing and make you the bad guy. Every day you'll work on eggshells and you'll NEVER advance within the company.
