I have been working at American Express full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Genuinely empowered to try new things, to find your own path and speak your mind.

Cons

As a big organisation, consensus on decision-making can be frustrating. But once a decision is made, this momentum can move the organisation very fast.

Advice to Management

Communication is the perennial challenge. Great efforts being made, but the need for clarity of direction and leadership will always be there.

I have been working at American Express part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you are money minded and a follower of uncle scrooge and you are able to lick you directors feet, this is the best company for you

    Cons

    1) No work life balance
    2) Hire and fire policy
    3) too much stress on band differences
    4) no promotions
5 ) Rouge and some Desi people have converted it to a fish market.
    6) Being a technology company , they act like a call centre.
    7) Never ever ever ever join this company
8)Even If you are 10 year experienced person outside AMex they will treat you like a fresher and do micromanagement.
    9) they will fire you if you are on bench for 2 weeks.

    Advice to Management

    1) Please start behaving like a technology company
    2) Please do a 360 degree review. The leads behave like a monitor in class
    3) Please start respecting you employees rather than treating them as a money making machine.
    4) Lastly I know der will be no difference in this company.
