      - Great people - Great development environment - Considerable latitude and flexibility accorded to engineers - Continual "bar raising" - improve daily or fall to the side

      Cons

      - Slough - Only one technology department (no opportunity for horizontal transfers) - Other than internal turnover within existing groups, there is little sense that Amazon is interested in growing or investing in UK- or EU-based engineering teams

      I got paid weekly, there was a $2 premium for night shifts.

      Cons

      The only con was the 2 hour commute to and from work.

      Pros

      Really smart people, a lot of opportunity for growth, always encouraged to be innovative, think big, and create something new. Competitive salary and benefits with other major tech companies. 100% self motivating work environment. No dress code and 4 legged friends are welcome.

      Cons

      You have to be self motivated. NO ONE will hold your hand and tell you that you're doing a great job. If you need constant affirmations from management, this company isn't for you.
