Pros

I was able to gain valuable experience with new job duties. Having an information system that was outdated actually worked to my advantage. I was able to learn some basic skills pertaining to system implementation processes, data interfaces and migrations, and data configuration.

Cons

There was very poor management and executive conflicts of interest going on between the organization and its investors. Employees were at a free-for-all. There was no consistency in processes, one department did not effectively communicate with the other, and seasoned employees refused to adjust to positive and more productive process improvements. We may have been working on the same project and 3 different people were using 3 different processes which conflicted. There was no teamwork concept and management did not enforce best practices AT ALL. At some point, I was actually doing my managers job and was not getting any recognition for it. This may have been the 2nd worse company I have ever worked for. If I did my research like I was supposed to prior to my offer, I would have NEVER accepted this position.

Thank you for your feedback. We are always looking for ways we can improve. As part of the senior leadership team I feel that it has been the strong leadership of our CEO (appointed just over a year ago) and others on the Executive team that have pulled the company together after a large restructuring. It has also been my observation that not only is the Executive team and investors on the same page, the entire management team is also in sync with the overall organizational goals. Regarding technologies, yes we were due for a major upgrade which we have since completed. And regarding processes I will be sharing your feedback with the entire management team to see if we can identify any area where there have been or are communication breakdowns so that we can ensure everyone is working together in concert and utilizing the process set in place by the Six Sigma certified professionals we have on staff.

Pros

I worked at AlphaStaff on a temporary maternity cover contract as Executive Assistant to the CEO, and my experience during that time was very positive. The company has a strong and supportive culture, and the team makes you feel welcome from day one. AlphaStaff also offers good opportunities for growth and development within the organization. There is a clear focus on employee wellbeing, ensuring team members feel valued, fairly compensated, and that their opinions are heard. Overall, it was a rewarding experience and I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such a supportive team.

Cons

It’s a fast-paced environment which can feel stressful at times, though this is part of the nature of the industry.

Pros

nothing to add at this time

Cons

such a bizarre work experience, insane discrepancies between management, and conflicting directives that they can't seem to be on the same page. consistently overworked and little if any effort to replace people who quit or are fired. micromanagement decisions that will drive you up the wall with little respect for your free time if you can manage to take a break. little to no opportunities for growth or development. there is a rotating door of staff suddenly not being employed anymore and they say not to worry because they had it coming and there is a remediation process, but then you find yourself in the same boat, terminated one day with no warnings, no discussions, nothing.
