Pros

Although young, I've had the opportunity to work for quite a few employers. As such, I've been in several work environments, worked with several different types of people and I've worked for quite a few different bosses. Addella is without doubt the best environment I've been apart of. The team is ambitious. relentless and driven. However, no one compromises fun and relationship building. Everyone wants the best out of their career and life, and knows that it is necessary to have both. Having a team that appreciates this balance and the value of building relationships at work and outside of work is valuable beyond measure. The result? Being surrounded by people that are driven to succeed, but would like you to succeed as well. None more so than Luc, the owner of Addella. Luc doesn't sit on a distant throne, he personally invests his time in the support and development of his team. This review may sound like roses and butterflies, but it's all the truth. Work a day here and tell me if anything I said is a lie.

Cons

You better bring a positive work ethic. Your success, at Addella and in life in general, depends on the effort and time you're willing to invest into it. This isn't a con for anyone that really wants to succeed. Success isn't hard to reach at Addella, if you want it and work for it... you'll find it.

Pros

Addella is definitely a fun office environment where everyone is very motivated, excited, and young. A lot of supportive people and Luc was the most inspiring person I've ever met. If you work here you will pick up some good advice on how to do sales successfully and also become much more outgoing.

Cons

You will be doing door-to-door sales (if you do sales and not HR etc). This will never be told to you explicitly or during your first interview. Your pay is commission for what you can sell. You spend the entire day in your territory walking to businesses and giving them an exact sales pitch. You can't deviate from the pitch. You will spend lots of time practising this pitch. There is an almost cult-like vibe there, such that no one can ever be negative and the firm sells you this idea that if you work yourself to the bone you will get rich. This does happen from a very, very small minority of people, but for most, it won't happen. "First one to the field, first one to get money!" Everyone will say their big dream in life is to own an island or party in Ibiza once Addella gets them rich, but it won't happen. CBC Marketplace did an expose on a place called Mox1 Business Solutions; a similar direct marketing firm. Also search Slave Circle on Youtube; this will give you an exact idea of what this Cydcor operation is. This is very hard work and you will probably quit after a month or two.

Pros

First impression of the company was that the management team is very inspired and supportive, and that the employees are all young, intelligent, and ambitious individuals. Work environment is super upbeat so it made coming into work everyday exhilarating. Work day consists of morning meetings, campaign meetings, leadership workshops, visiting prospective clients and follow up meetings with existing clients, followed with an end-of-the-day wrap up at the office. My colleagues were all phenomenal, always pushing me be better, aspire to more, and making time to help each other grow and develop as a unit.

Cons

Though the benefits of working here are definitely plenty, there are definitely a lot of work to be done. One of the first things I learned while being here was that everyone has ambition, everyone has goals and dreams. The difference between those who attain their goals, and those who do not, are the amount that they are willing to sacrifice in order to do so. The work hours are long IF you truly wish to get ahead, however nothing extracurricular is mandatory. The nature of the work is also not a walk in the park, but that's precisely the part of the role that builds a host of skills, resilience, and a relentless attitude.
